ALUM CATALYZED EFFICIENT ONE POT SYNTHESIS OF α-AMINO NITRILES

α-Amino nitriles are prepared in a one pot three component coupling of aldehydes, amines and trimethylsilyl cyanide employing catalytic amount of Alum at room temperature.
