Boiler is the heart of processing house. In the present day, the boiler feed water treatment is very much essential in the industry. Many treatments has been taken place till today but again there is problem in boiler like formation of scales and   sludge , corrosion, fouling, etc. It happens due to presence of hardness causing substances like presence of dissolved bicarbonates of Ca, Mg, and other heavy metals and the carbonates of Iron, dissolved chlorides and sulphates of Ca, Mg, Fe and other heavy metals. These hardness causing substances were determined in P.G. Chemistry lab of DKTE, Ichalkaranji.

Keywords : pH, Conductivity, Total solids, Total Hardness, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Suspended Solids.
